Portraits - FAQ
FAQ
I am not sure what products I want to buy, can I still book a session anyway?
Absolutely!! The session is completely free of charge so there is no risk at all. We can discuss the products and options at the session and you can make your decisions once you have had a chance to view the images.
How much will it cost me?
Because you only pay for the images you love the cost is entirely up to you. Whatever your budget, there are products to suite you.
I would rather have the digital images on a disk and print them myself, is this possible?
Of course it is! This is quite a popular request and whilst I have always offered the complete session on DVD (free with large orders), I have now introduced a budget version for those clients that would prefer to only buy a smaller number of images. Take a look at my “Products & Sevices” link to see all the details.
Is there a discount if I book multiple sessions?
Multiple sessions are a wonderful way to capture your baby’s first year. These sessions are done at different ages over 12 month, for example, at 3, 7 and 12 months old. A 10% discount is offered on any products ordered at the second session and a 20% discount is offered on products ordered after that. This is a great way to build up a series of images for a photobook. Don’t forget this is also a great option for including the maternity session first!
What happens if I don't have any ideas for my photo shoot?
Don't worry, I will bring plenty of ideas for us to start with and we can add to these as we go along.
What should I tell my children before the session?
Happy, relaxed children make the best subjects therefore I don't want your child to be worrying about it at all. They will not be expected to pose or smile on demand, in fact the only thing I want, is for them to be themselves. While it is certainly fine to let your child know about the session, I would try not to discuss it too much as this might make them nervous.
What happens if my baby is ill on the day?
Just let me know and I would be happy to re-schedule another session.
Do we need to cancel if the weather is lousy?
Not at all, in fact overcast conditions offer great light for portraits. Whatever the weather, I will work with it or around it to get the best images.
How many photographs will I receive?
As many as you like!During the session I take hundreds of images and then I select the best for you to view. You can then select your favourites to have printed.
Can you remove wrinkles and blemishes?
Absolutely. All of the images I take are processed to show each individual looking their best! At this stage I will also edit the images artistically - creating some black and white, some sepia etc. We will discuss before the session your personal preferences and any concerns that you may have.
Are prints the only way to display the images we get from the session?
I offer a wide range of products including stunning art canvases and frames which you can display on your walls. In addition to this, I offer photobooks to display all of your favourite images. These hardcover coffee-table style books are made of the highest quality and are a great modern alternative to a stick-in photo album.
